OTM = On the Market
Day 1. We don't even have a For Sale sign staked in the ground yet, but we have had 3 calls and will have 3 showings by the end of the day. I love the activity the house is getting....I just hope it all means good things. I can see how this process could be deflating if you have lots of looky-loos, but no offers. (I know, I'm already talking crazy and it its only been OTM for, technically, 3.5 work week hours). I mean, I don't wipe up our footprints as we back out of rooms on the way out the door for nothin'.
The boys have been so good considering our temporary insanity (is 4 weeks considered "temporary"?) They deserve a week long slumber party at Chuck E. Cheese for putting up with us...ok...me. But a week long slumber party at the Chuck would surely drive me more mad than making sure there aren't tiny finger prints on bathroom countertops and that every Star Wars lego is put in its rightful color-coded bucket.
The hardest part is done....now we wait. Ok...clean and wait.
Concerned that you haven't seen any photos of our adorable offspring in a long time? Concerned that maybe I, in my temporary insane state might have filed each of them in respective color coded buckets? Fear not...they are alive and well and are not filed in color coded buckets or stuffed in small empty spaces that cannot be seen by potential buyers, but are being cared for by Grandma and preschool most of time. And the fact that I am even thinking about how long it has been since I have taken a picture of them is a great sign that my insane state of mind might just be starting to normalize. Maybe "normal" isn't the right word....but I am so much looking forward to the day where taking a 1000 photos of my cute little people is the most important task of the day. Ahhh...the good ole days.
Love, B
