Trick or Treat

A beautiful moonlit Halloween night!

Henry worked so hard on his very own pumpkin!
He picked the pumpkin from the pumpkin patch on his field trip last week.
He hammered clear colored pegs into his pumpkin and a blinking flashlight lit it up beautifully!

After 30 or so minutes, I was proud to see Henry found it much quicker to push the pegs in by hand rather than hammering them in. Cleva boy!
Some chili and cornbread to start our evening!
And a FIERCE miniature lion - this is his GROWL!!!

And our swashbuckling pirate...Captain Henry!
We rolled the boys into the cul-de-sac neighborhoods a few blocks away....but Henry was in no mood for photos.
The boys then inspected their loot and wanted to try EVERYTHING.
First some chocolate....
Why bother taking wrappers off? This is after Charlie bit through a foil wrapped peanut butter chocolate patty. He was all business!

And then he passed out for a bit..
And then the sugar kicked in...
And kicked in some more...
And then, I don't know what happened here...
But he thought it was HILARIOUS!
It was a very fun weekend of costumes, candy, cooking and playing...but tomorrow, we all go back to the real world. But enjoying the time change and looking forward to our pizza party this week with my girlfriends!
