Welcome Family!

But first, lets start out with some Charlie! Thank you, Charlie, for the world's greatest hair!
We attended an family anniversary celebration a couple of weeks ago and one comment I got was "Hmmm....have you ever tried cream rinse on that hair?" The answer is no. Why would you want to tame that craziness?? Even if you have never met Charlie - his hair says everything you need to know about his personality!
And now on to the fam! What a wonderful and busy couple of days we just had with everyone! I have only a short window of quietness, so I wanted to post some of my favorite pictures from the weekend.
Grandpa and Charlie sharing their theories on relativity.
Charlie: "Hmmm, Your theory just might hold water, Grandfather. But, I'm going to need to nap on that one."
Grandma! Get your own marshmallow egg!

Yea! It's Uncle T!!!! Who came bearing inappropriate gifts for Henry!

Do you like your new shirt Henry? Thats what I thought.
Actually, Henry has asked multiple times if he can wear his "Uncle T" shirt...So far, "its in the laundry" has held Henry off. T was so thoughtful in that he bought it several sizes big so that Henry can get YEARS of wear out of it. Thanks T!

Dinner at Jake's Friday night in celebration of T's graduation:

Hanging out in their hotel room with Great Aunt Patty. Yes, Henry is waving to the camera.
It was so nice to see you Aunt Patty (who is such a WONDERFUL aunt to our little boys!)
They sure love you!

Uncle T and Henry after their space shuttle flight (behind them). Henry has been in heaven with his Uncle here.
Who's having fun now???:
I should mention that we borrowed (ok, sucked out of everyone's cameras) all of the pictures that you see here. This is why:
Grandma and Grandpa take amazing pictures!
Charlie, lovin it at OMSI:
And...here is "the face". This is the face that Henry makes all of the time, but we are not sure why. I think, he thinks, he is being cute, but it really, really isn't cute. Hopefully it is a phase!

I just like this picture because it reminds me of "The Right Stuff"...and yes it is!

Henry and his Grandma! You can see why Henry loves her so much:
They took the boys swimming last night while Nate, T and I saw a movie. They had a ball in the swimming pool, eating a Red Robin and hanging out in their hotel room last night! Thanks for taking care of them for us!
It's already too quiet in the house after 1/2 the crew left. Henry, of course, is already asking where his Glandma and Glandpa and Aunt Patty are. Thanks for visiting, it was so nice to see all of you!

Better days....

Yes, sir re...thats my baby smiling...finally. Since Charlie's fluid "top off" Thursday, he has
slowly started to return to Charlieville. Slowly. By slowly, I mean one week later,  he still has diarrhea, BUT, he is finally eating and drinking like normal. It is so nice to have sweet, funny, smart Charlie back!  Here is happy boy!
So far, Henry hasn't shown any signs of coming down with the curse.
Tonight, he is "hellboy" because he didn't nap today. I just tried to put him to bed, and it did not go so well. Here is a glimpse of how this went:

Mom: (reading Henry his book "Cowlick") A big cow-lick!
Henry: Don't say cowlick (in the whiniest voice you have EVER heard)!
Mom: But that is the name of the book?!
Henry: Don't say Cowlick!

So we move on to book #2 called "Good Morning Good Night"
Mom: Good Morning, Good Night.
Henry: Don't say good morning, good night!

You get the picture.

But, before Henry turned into Hellboy, he had some very sweet moments this weekend:
Guess who's walking???!!! He is so cute when he walks on his own.
He sort of waddles like E.T.
On our way to the park today:

This boy has some SKILLS! He is pretty good with a bat and ball.
He can even toss his own ball up and hit it. Impressive!
Sweet Charlie hanging out on the swing:

Look at my big boy! He has been doing so good with the potty training! And I really don't want to jinx this...but he hasn't used a binky in 3 days! And it is sort of ironic how it happened...Friday, Henry was peeing on the potty and had his binky in his mouth. Yep - you got it, it fell into the toilet. How PERFECT is that?! I mean, it wasn't MY fault, so he can't be mad at me! He still asks for it once or twice a day, but so far, we have worked through those moments.
We were so tired of that stinky binky hiding that beautiful smile!!!

Henry showing off some more ball skills. He is pretty darn good with a soccer ball too!

So, its back to the real world tomorrow after a crazy week of sickness and closeness. It was so nice to be home with boys even if Charlie was having a rough one. Charlie's eye surgery has been scheduled for April 13 6:30am. We are so very ready for his eye to be better. He has a very beautiful eye and lashes under that goop - when we were checking into the hospital on Thursday, everyone initially thought we were there for his eye! Love, B

Charlie visits the Hospital

Sweet baby boy's tank went dry from being so sick this past week.
So, we got "tanked up"! He is still quite sick, but at least he has some reserves to be sick with.
Here are a couple pics at the hospital:

So long Pull-Ups!!! So long baby formula!

Ummm-Hmmm! You read it right. Today is day two of
the best spiderman/incredible hulk "underwears" ever. I'm not even sure how the events even came about. Henry told us he wanted to wear his underwears yesterday and ever since then (ok, there was one accident about an hour after we "converted") he has peed on the potty. No promises of toys, or stickers, or millenium falcons...who knew it would happen so simply like this?! And Charlie is finally off the moonshine! Yep - straight cow now! He must love it because he can empty a 6 ounce bottle in no time!
We had a nice mellow weekend at home this past weekend. We have all been fighting something fluish/coldish for a week or so, so it was really nice to be lazy....more to come on the flu - things have gone haywire today....But for now, here are some Sunday pics:

Charlie snackin' on his goldfish....on a pajama sunday.
Check it out Mom, its credible hunk and spiderman! Henry has not worn pants since Saturday...but its working, so I'm not messing with it.

Who's making flubber??
Is it bad to bad to mix kitchen utensils with borax and glue??
Charlie with his new "toddler" crayons. Except that he didn't understand where the color was coming from so he had crayon all over himself.
EWwww! Is all wet daddy! It took Henry a while to warm up to the flubber this time.

Um...this stuff is nasty and why is it on my tray? (note Charlie's disgusted face!)

Day: Monday. Facial Color: Greenish. Why: I have the flu....bad.
Poor baby Charlie threw up in his crib overnight and slept in it. I threw up when I got him out of bed (only because it was sooo stinky). Charlie can usually eat 1/2 the kitchen in a sitting, but I know he is really sick when he would touch food today. He's actually coming out both ends and has had his bedding changed 3 times and had 3 baths today - and its only lunch time.
Spidey-buns isn't feeling much better than Charlie. He preferred to sit sans pants on the couch watching Nemo all morning. He did take a short break to shoot the pirates that were hiding in various parts of the house (the bathroom, in his closet and those rascals kept hiding in his toybox!) Henry was making me slide along walls (so we could sneak attack the pirates) and jump out guns-a-blazin'. Hmm. we need a girl in this house bad. Though, Henry will let me paint his fingernails, so I really shouldn't complain.
The boys are sweetly napping now. I feel so bad for Charlie...and hope he feels better real soon. Though, he is so snuggly and sweet when he doesn't feel well. But it just isn't the same if Charlie isn't participating. Get well soon Tarley. We are still waiting to hear from the surgery scheduler..hopefully we will know more this week.
