Happy 5th Birthday!!

Dear Henry,
Happy 5th Birthday!!! You are getting to be such a big boy, it is hardly believable.
You have become incredibly independent and almost always want to do it "by myself!".
I love watching you play as you invent story lines and battle scenes and get so frustrated when your little brother tries to get in on your action.

You can be so caring and kind and thoughtful. And while you can have quite a temper, I actually don't mind your tantrums (as long as we are not in public) because it is the only way that I know you are truly tired.

You've become best buddies with your brother and (most of the time) want him right by your side when you play, particularly at the park. And sometimes, you even like your brother to do things first - you know, just to make sure its safe. Clever boy!

You still are not a very good eater, but must get what you need because you are getting taller and more handsome everyday. Though you do like your staples which include PB&J, Chicken Nuggets, Hummus and Pita bread, Salmon and Cheese. And of course, anything sweet.

Your sweet nature, dimples and infectious smile get me to the core. I somehow feel that I experience every emotion as you do and miss you terribly when I am not with you. You have a special energy that makes people feel whole.

I had no idea how much I would enjoy you and truly look forward to celebrating who you are today and who you will become. Happy Birthday little guy.
